Project Manager – LNG Shipping Operations

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage the logistics and operations of LNG (liquefied natural gas) shipping projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of LNG transportation, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement detailed project plans for LNG shipping operations, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal teams, shipping companies, port authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with international maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
Performance Monitoring: Track project progress, analyze performance metrics, and provide regular reports to senior management.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and deliverables.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in LNG shipping, maritime logistics, or the energy sector.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of LNG shipping operations and maritime regulations.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Knowledge of risk management and compliance frameworks.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
